Supercell's real-time PvP strategy battle game 'Clash Royale' celebrated its 9th anniversary with the 69th season update.
One of Supercell's flagship games, Clash Royale was simultaneously released worldwide in March 2016, and has been steadily loved by many users for its unique characters and strategic gameplay elements. To commemorate its 9-year journey, this season features different events, challenges, and various customization items.
This season update comes with the new evolution card 'Evolution Hunter.' The Evolution Hunter throws a net at the closest unit to prevent it from moving or attacking, and if the trapped unit is an air unit, it becomes vulnerable to ground attacks.
Clash Royale's 9th anniversary season, along with the '9th Anniversary Arena,' will run for 5 weeks until April 7th. During the season, four cards (Hunter, Royal Giant, Fisherman, Lightning Spell) will receive boosts, and Royal Tournaments will be held for 5 days each on March 8th and March 22nd.
This season features a total of five events. Starting from the season's start date, the following events will take place in sequence: ▲Hunter Evolution Draft (3/3~10) ▲Evolution Chaos! (3/10~17) ▲Champion Triple Draft (3/17~24) ▲Mirror, Mirror (3/24~31) ▲Evolution Chaos! (3/31~4/7). Each event's challenge will be open from Friday of the event week to the following Monday, allowing users to participate in exciting challenges throughout the season and earn various customization items based on the season theme.
To celebrate its 9th anniversary, Clash Royale also introduces unique customization items. Starting with tower skins available through the Royale Pass, users can obtain 4 different emotes through season shop and gameplay rewards, as well as 8 special battle banners, enjoying the 9th birthday of Clash Royale together and collecting various rewards.
