The largest-scale domestic Anime X Game festival, 'AGF 2024,' which marks its 5th edition since its inception in 2018, concluded successfully after heating up subculture fans' enthusiastic response on December 7 (Sat) to 8 (Sun) for two days. AGF 2024 was hosted by Aniplus, Daewon Media, Sony Music, and D&G Media, with the main sponsor 'Myeongjo: Wordling Wave' leading the way, attracting attention as the largest sponsor ever with the participation of 'Smilegate' and 'Megabox'.



Moreover, this year saw a total of 75 participating companies, and the venue at Ilsan KINTEX Exhibition Center expanded to halls 1/2/3/4/5, setting the record for the largest scale ever. The richer attractions perfectly met the expectations of long-awaiting attendees.



During the event, AGF 2024 welcomed 72,081 attendees over the two days, showing a remarkable growth of approximately 10% compared to the previous year, proving itself as the undisputed largest subculture festival in Korea.










The AGF organizing committee, as stated, firmly prioritizes attendees' smooth viewing and safety. The completely revamped event system also drew attention. Firstly, the newly introduced 'Fast Ticket' system was implemented for customers who desired expedited entry to the venue or who had lined up overnight to purchase limited-edition MD goods. This system allowed entry at 9:30 am, 30 minutes before the regular entry time of 10 am, accommodating 1,000 attendees for a comfortable viewing experience over the two days.



The average entry time for Fast Ticket holders was 5 minutes per day, completely dispelling concerns about the inaugural implementation and providing a pleasant and swift viewing environment, garnering significant acclaim from attendees on social media.



Additionally, AGF's flagship stage program 'RED Stage,' which had been previously conducted on a first-come, first-served basis on-site, shifted to an online reservation system, significantly reducing unnecessary waiting time for attendees. Two system reforms focusing on the 'night stay eradication campaign' played the most crucial role in driving the successful event, as commended.










Exclusively at AGF 2024, a variety of attractions sparked discussions. After the activities on Saturday, the booths of each participating company held on Sunday captivated attendees with various events and activities. Particularly, at Kuro Games' 'Myeongjo: Wordling' booth, voice actor talk shows and cosplay events, along with the 'Dingjo Tasting Party' in collaboration with GS25, grabbed attention.



'Aniplus' operated various experiential events and MD shops, collab cafes featuring scenes from the movie <Demon Slayer: Infinite Train>, garnering positive responses from anime fans. 'Webzen' showcased the new project 'Tervis,' while 'Netmarble' celebrated 'Fate/Grand Order's 7th Anniversary' with visible radios, OX Survival, and merchandise sales, providing a range of entertainment options.









Furthermore, on the final day of the festival, some special events on the 'RED Stage' featured popular voice actors both domestic and international, confirming AGF's reputation with a stellar lineup. Voice actors from fan-favorite anime like [Run Away Princess], [Choi Aui], [One Piece Anime 25th Anniversary Stage], [Theatrical Edition Juso Meeting 0], and [My Hero Academy The Movie: Your Next] interacted with fans, captivating anime enthusiasts.










Other highlights such as 'BLUE Archive The Animation' special stage and performances with hololive Meet AZKi and Roboco saw outstanding responses. The 'BLUE Stage' held open-stage performances including AGF's symbolic DJ Kazu's anime song DJ stage and voice actors from [Power Rangers King Force], shining with continuous delights and enhancing the festival atmosphere.



Appearances by Ultraman Tiga and Ultraman Zero from 'Ultraman Card Game', Kotobukiya Plastic Model Contest 2024, Meechu, and the Lost Sword Mini Concert contributed to a rich array of fun experiences. Moreover, the 'AGF Special Screening Hall' at Megabox KINTEX offered a chance to enjoy various works such as the <Demon Slayer: Blade of Evil> series, <Idol Master Million Live!> Acts 1, 2, 3, and <Kaguja Wants to Be Loved-Kisses Never End> until the very end, captivating the audience.










The largest Anime X Game festival in Korea, 'AGF 2024,' provided unforgettable memories to attendees with its unprecedented scale and rich events. The AGF organizing committee, deeply moved by the enthusiastic cheers and passion of the attendees, expressed their intention to thoroughly prepare for next year's event to reciprocate the support received.



The festival, AGF, the celebration ground for Korea's leading subculture fans, is poised to return to attendees with an even more significant event in 2025 based on the growth of 2024.
