◆Not an easy feat to achieve consecutive championships
T1 faced a difficult situation by losing odd-numbered sets consecutively to Bilibili Gaming in the finals. Despite playing from the blue side in the 1st set, T1 allowed kills from the early game and lost disappointingly. In the 2nd set, Faker's Sylas brought back balance by using the opponents' ult at the right moment.
In the 3rd set, T1 failed to counterattack after conceding 5 kills in the early game. In the 4th set, within just 5 minutes, Zeus' Rumble was caught three times in a row, putting them in a crisis. In a critical moment, Faker's Sylas solo killed a Jinx, creating opportunities for a turnaround. Forcing a 5th set, Faker continued to make superb plays in team fights.
In the decisive 5th set, Faker displayed outstanding performance. Choosing Galio, Faker tied up 3 BLG players in a fight near the dragon area at 28 minutes, leading to a team fight victory, and rushed towards Gragas of BLG at 31 minutes for an epic entrance between BLG players, stalling time until teammates arrived, inducing a second ace, and playing a decisive role in securing the victory.
◆'Faker' Lee Sang-hyeok achieves 500 kills and MVP simultaneously

Lee Sang-hyeok achieved a significant milestone in this final. He became the first player in World Championship history to surpass 500 kills. Before the final, Lee had 493 kills, but playing as Sylas in the 4th set, he added 6 kills, surpassing the 500-kill mark.
It was no surprise that Lee Sang-hyeok was named the MVP after his inspired performance in the finals. Supporting his juniors throughout this year's World Championship, Lee, in the finals, appeared as a hero at every critical moment, solving problems on his own.
After winning the MVP title in the 2016 World Championship, Lee Sang-hyeok once again claimed the MVP title after a whopping 8 years. He is the first player in World Championship history to win the MVP title twice.

These players, wearing T1 uniforms together from 2022 to 2024, achieved the remarkable record of 3 consecutive World Championship finals and back-to-back championships. SK Telecom T1, securing consecutive championships over two years in the World Championship, set records with different team members each year, but 'GeoPeGuKe' formed an unchanged squad for three years without losing a single member, achieving the feat of consecutive championships.
The O2 Arena, where the 2024 LoL World Championship finals took place, was packed with 14,500 fans from around the world. Linkin Park, who performed the theme song "Heavy Is The Crown," appeared during the opening ceremony, stirring the cheers of the fans.
